This Holofoil Charizard from Skyridge was a Secret Rare. Additionally, it is the last Charizard card published by the original publishers, Wizards of the Coast. As a result, this card can fetch high prices based on both its rarity and its historical significance.

This Charizard from the Legendary Collection was a Reverse Holofoil. As opposed to regular Holofoil cards, Reverse Holofoils would have foil everywhere except for the artwork. Getting a PSA 10 copy of this card is rare, as only 81 copies so far have been graded as such.

The Charizard Star card from Dragon Frontiers has multiple things going for it, which increase its value. Not only does it feature a Shiny Charizard, but it is also a Delta Species. Finally, this Charizard is a Darkness type similar to Charizard ex from Obsidian Flames. Due to the presence of all three, Charizard Star will easily fetch a high price even if ungraded.

A Charizard card from the original Base Set is among the highest valued cards in Pokemon TCG history. It is certain that the price listed for it, which is around 10 times that of Charizard Star, will drastically increase with the passage of time.
