This article will be a thorough and detailed walkthrough of the ‘Some Like It Dark’ main quest in Dying Light The Beast.
After a failed attempt to subdue the Baron, Kyle turns to Jacob for new options through the main quest called Some Like It Dark. This is a direct follow-up to the last main quest in Dying Light The Beast called Vengeance is Mine, where the Sheriff betrays you. This new hope will take you on a new adventure to find more people with similar conditions.

Completing the Some Like It Dark Main Quest in Dying Light The Beast
These are all the main objectives of this main quest:
- Help the Stranger.
- Find the missing squad members.
- Search the outpost for missing squad members.
- Explore the Pig Farm.
- Rescue the missing squad members and drive back before they turn.
Help the Stranger
Head over to the Villa Area, and you can spot a local being harassed by the Baron’s men. You can step in to intervene and lay some hate on these goons. These enemies will mostly have melee weapons, and you can get the edge on them with a gun. After clearing the area, be sure to loot every single body before speaking to the stranger.
The house is also full of items, and you don’t need to rush. Once you have cleared the area of items, proceed to speak to the stranger inside the house. He will reveal that his name is Sven and will ask you to find his missing comrades.
Find the Missing Squad Members
You will then be instructed to head to the nearby farmhouse, and you can access it through an open window. Inside you can find a handful of resources in drawers and closets, along with some infected. After clearing the farmhouse, you will then head to the following areas:
- Outpost
- Pig Farm
Once you’re in the Pig Farm, there will be a shootout, and stealth will no longer be an option. We recommend bringing a gun to fight back against the Baron’s soldiers. After finishing off the soldiers, the squad members were taken, and they stormed off in a truck. Sven will give you their location, and you can chase them by commandeering one of their vehicles outside the building.
Rescue the Scout Before They Turn
The final objective is to drive the truck with the wounded survivors to a safe location. All you have to do next is follow the GPS on the vehicle and take them to a safe area. You will meet Sven and more of his people, and they will give you the following rewards:
- Grappling Hook
- 750 Old World Money
- Co-op Lootbox (if you played with a friend)
- Survivor Spiked Glove
- 10,000 XP
Once you take the rewards, this will mark the end of the line for the Some Like It Dark quest in Dying Light The Beast.
