Hades 2 is launching on September 25, 2025, and will not be available on the Xbox Game Pass at launch. However, it is launching globally on PC, Switch, Switch 2, and the Epic Games Store, according to Supergiant Games. For now, there is no news regarding the Xbox Game Pass release.
But its prequel, Hades 1, is available on the Xbox Game Pass. Here’s what we know so far.
Is Hades 2 Playable on Xbox Game Pass?
No, Hades 2 won’t be available during launch on the Xbox Game Pass. According to the official blog for Hades 2, the game is launching on Steam, Epic Games, and both Nintendo Switch consoles. However, there is no mention of Xbox or its Game Pass. The release date has been confirmed as September 25, 2025. Hades 2 has been in Early Access since May 6, 2024, and those who bought the game will receive its v1.0 update at launch.
The developers also mentioned on their blog that cross-saves from Steam to consoles will also be available. So, players that want to play Hades 2 on different platforms can enjoy it elsewhere as well. Along with the platform release, there are also confirmed timings for the launch of Hades 2. These are the timings for various countries according to Supergiant Games on X:
- New York – 12:00 EDT, September 25
- San Francisco – 09:00 PDT, September 25
- São Paulo – 13:00 BRT, September 25
- London – 17:00 BST, September 25
- Athens – 19:00 EEST, September 25
- Paris – 18:00 CEST, September 25
- Tokyo – 01:00 JST, September 26
- Sydney – 02:00 AEST, September 26
- Hong Kong – 00:00 HKT, September 26
Hades 2 will be available on all mentioned platforms above for a price of $29.99 during launch. Early Access Steam reviews suggest that the game is an improved version of Hades 1 and has an overwhelmingly positive review percentage.
Is Hades 1 Available on the Game Pass?
Even though there is no news of Hades 2 launching on the Xbox Game Pass, Hades 1 was released on the Xbox Game Pass a few days ago. The Xbox Game Pass subscribers (Standard and Gold) can play the award-winning rogue-like on their consoles or PC.
