In this article, we’ll explore whether you can fast travel in Dying Light The Beast. We’ll also look at alternate traversal methods.

You cannot fast travel in Dying Light The Beast. Unlike past games in the series, this time around, players have no way to teleport to different locations within the map. This is true even if you have powered up a safe zone or visited a location previously. However, the game does compensate for this lack of quick traversal through other means.
In the following article, we’ll take a look at why the game doesn’t support fast travel and some alternate travel options you can use to quickly get around the map.
Why Is There No Fast Travel in Dying Light The Beast?
This is the first Dying Light game without the fast travel option. Techland has addressed why this particular feature is missing. The developers feel that removing fast travel would promote more exploration of the Castor Woods map.
Apart from that, they determined that removing the option to fast travel might also create more thrilling encounters with infected while the player traverses the map mostly on foot. However, even with fast travel no longer an option, players can use a variety of alternate ways to get from point A to B quickly.
Alternate Options to Fast Travelling in Dying Light The Beast

Driving
Dying Light The Beast is the first in the series to introduce drivable vehicles. You’ll be able to find Ranger Trucks or vehicles from one of the other factions strewn throughout the map. You can climb into these and take the road to your destination much faster than you could get there on foot.
However, keep in mind that every vehicle has a limited amount of fuel. If you exhaust the fuel, you’ll either need to abandon the car or step outside to refuel it. Driving a vehicle also means attracting infected in the area by the noise the car makes. So, stepping out can be a risky affair. All vehicles have finite durability as well. So, you’ll have to be careful when driving. Crash it too many times, and you’ll no longer be able to drive it. Certain things can help improve your driving experience in the game.
Firstly, you should get the Efficient Driving skill from the Survival Branch. This helps reduce fuel usage while driving, allowing you to travel farther. Secondly, complete the The Fast and Fortunate side quest as soon as you can. During this one, you’ll learn a lot about driving the vehicle across the different locations and scenarios.
Parkour

Kyle Crane gains momentum when he runs and parkours his way through various obstacles without getting slowed down. If you keep up his momentum, he’ll gain quite a bit of speed. However, if you hit an obstacle or an infected stops you in the track, his momentum gauge gets reset to zero. You’ll then need to restart his run using a slower pace all over again. To maintain momentum for longer, make sure you unlock Active Landing and Afterboost skills.
Similarly, you should grab the Dash skill, which lets you get a temporary boost of speed. However, keep in mind that many of these moves require Stamina to trigger and use. So, you’ll have to use them sparingly when traversing the map on foot.
More Ways To Travel Quickly
Beyond using vehicles and unlocking Parkour skills, you can also improve your traversal speed by unlocking the Grappling Hook. It will help you climb up to ledges and roofs much quicker, boosting your overall traveling speed.
Similarly, you can trigger Beast Mode in extreme situations to gain a huge boost in Kyle’s movement speed. However, there’s a Beast Timer that you should keep track of. When this timer runs out, your Beast Mode will end. So, use this one sparingly and only when you need an urgent way out.
