Dying Light The Beast’s Castor Woods is a healthy blend of sprawling buildings and countryside, necessitating the need for a vehicle to see all that the game has to offer. Yes, after being a glaring omission in Dying Light 2, vehicles are back once again in Dying Light The Beast.

These vehicles allow you to safely traverse the roads of Castor Woods, allowing you to get from Point A to Point B much faster than you normally would. As cool as the vehicles are, however, finding them can be a fair bit difficult, especially early on. The game doesn’t really explain the vehicles or their mechanics, so you’re left to figure everything out by yourself. Thankfully, we’re here to help.

Where To Find Vehicles in Dying Light The Beast

You find vehicles almost everywhere on the map in Dying Light The Beast, and the best part is that they’ll be marked on the map for you. As you go about clearing the fog on your map, you’ll then see a few truck icons pop up in your vicinity. These are vehicles you can get into and drive. Simply mark the one nearest to you and head over to it. Once you’re near the vehicle, you’ll then get a prompt to enter it and drive.

Take note that you require fuel to drive a vehicle around. If you don’t have any fuel, you can easily restock by looting parked vehicles all over the map. Simply approach any car and walk towards the fuel door. Press the loot key to loot the fuel. Some vehicles have fuel, some don’t, so you’ll have to loot as many as you can to get a good amount.

How To Use Vehicles in Dying Light The Beast

Vehicles are a secondary means of transport in Dying Light The Beast, acting as an alternative to fast travel by letting you travel fast instead. Furthermore, vehicles are secure, and you can easily drive around without the risk of getting swarmed. That said, there are virals who can jump on your windshield and pose trouble. Should that happen, you can easily swat them away with a bit of rough driving.

Building on this point, you can also use vehicles as a means of combat. If you see a miniboss out in the open world, you can use the vehicle to ram into them a few times to reduce their HP before the fight even begins. This makes a lot of encounters far easier.
