Rocken Roller is one of the seven Auger Mine bosses in Borderlands 4. While the boss shares the toughness of its kin, what makes it particularly worth going after is the powerful Legendary gear that it drops. Rocken Roller is one of the best bosses you can farm for any character or build in the mid-to-late game.

Rocken Roller is located deep within the Trinket Crevass Auger Mine in the Ruined Sumplands area of Carcadia Burn. However, you must first complete ‘Crystal Brawl,’ the 12th main mission, to unlock the region and access the boss.

When you arrive at the mine’s location, you’ll find its entrance on the side of a large cliff. Head into the mine and drop down the pit. Jump past the waterfall and fight your way through the area ahead with Pangolin Raptors and other critters. Killing the enemies in your way is optional, as you can run past them to save time.

To reach the high passageway ahead, double jump up the rock platform on the right and leap across the gap. In the next chamber with a waterfall, run up the path on the right, then double jump and glide to reach the overgrown tunnel entrance on the opposite side. Climb the rocks on the right side, and you’ll reach a clearing with two vending machines to help prepare you for the boss fight ahead.

How To Beat Rocken Roller Boss in Borderlands 4

Rocken Roller is a Vile boss, with a purple health bar that nullifies all damage unless you destroy the purple crystals sticking out of its back.

  • Use AoE attacks and abilities to easily destroy the purple crystals without needing precise aim.
  • When you destroy the purple crystals, they will continue to float around the boss as a purple light. Shoot it, or they will soon reattach themselves to the boss and regenerate the purple health bar.
  • Once the purple health bar is destroyed, Incendiary Damage can burn through the red health bar underneath with ease.
  • If you are downed, focus fire on the Pangolins spawning around the arena to get a Second Wind.
  • Rocken Roller’s primary attack is curling up into a ball and rolling toward you. In this state, it can deflect projectiles and knock you back on contact. Sprint to either side to dodge it or hide behind one of the rocks in the middle of the arena.
  • Try not to get backed up against a wall, as the rolling attack can trap you and deal devastating damage.

Rocken Roller Boss Legendary Drops and Rewards

All three Legendary items dropped by the Rocken Roller are incredibly effective, especially the Songbird, which has a glitch that stacks its free damage buff. T.K.’s Wave is an incredibly fun-to-use legacy weapon that has been in nearly every Borderlands game. If you don’t get the Legendary you’re looking for on the first try, farm the boss using Moxxi’s Big Encore machine.
