- Enter the office and learn that the key is in a locked drawer from the Note for the Vice Principal.
- Go to the open classroom on the first floor.
- Pick up the crumpled ball of paper, i.e., the Student Note document.
- From the document, you learn that all the locks in the school can be opened with a hairpin.
- Hinako makes a note in her journal that Sakoto left her bunny-themed hairpin in the rabbit hutch.
- Climb out the open window in the classroom and make your way to the rabbit hutch. The hutch is in the southeast corner of the yard.
- Pick up the hairpin from the basket on the floor.
