Learn about the upcoming title update (TU3) for Monster Hunter Wilds, including 5 key things that Capcom is adding to the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds might have had a slow start-up, but the game sure seems to pick up with its title updates. And with just a few days remaining before TU3’s release, Capcom has finally unveiled everything we can expect to see with the upcoming update. Although Capcom did reveal the title monster for TU3, Omega Planetes, there’s still a ton that wasn’t showcased. For starters, the new update will introduce Pictomancy Spells as part of the FF14 Collaboration.
Furthermore, with the update, Capcom is also adding a host of new cosmetics, not only for the Hunter, but also for the Palico and the Seikret. Additionally, the update also comes with a new Season of Accord, Dreamspell.
Here’s a look at 5 key things that Capcom is adding to Monster Hunter Wilds with TU3.
5 Things Capcom Is Adding To Monster Hunter Wilds With TU3 (Title Update 3)
1) Omega Planetes

The biggest highlight of TU3 and the Final Fantasy 14 Collaboration, in general, is the new monster, Omega Planetes. As a raid monster in FF14, Omega works quite similarly to Behemoth in Monster Hunter World. The monster will be part of a High Rank Assignment in Iceshard Cliffs. As an HR monster, Omega is going to be one of the toughest challenges in the game. However, if you’ve been grinding 9-star hunts, you should have a fairly strong build to take down Omega.
Unlike the last two title updates, TU3 only comes with one new monster, i.e., Omega. However, the encounter against Omega is made to be extremely replayable. There are even special mini-events during the battle, akin to Jin Dahaad and Zoh Shia hunts. Overall, Omega is an incredibly fun new addition to Monster Hunter Wilds’ roster.
2) New Armor Sets and Weapons

With Omega Planetes, you’re also getting access to new armor sets and weapons. And judging from past Monster Hunter collaborations, the Omega gear should be quite powerful for the endgame. The new armor set and weapons are themed around Final Fantasy 14, i.e., the Dark Knight. And if the armor pieces end up having somewhat weaker Skills, they can always be used as Layered Armor.
3) New Cosmetics (FF14)

Apart from the new Omega gear, the update is also adding a ton of Layered cosmetics for the Hunter, Alma, and the Palico. Furthermore, Seikrets are also getting a new Chocobo-themed skin with TU3. Additionally, the game is also adding Pictomancy, which should work akin to the Water Gun gesture. However, Pictomancy can be used as a viable alternative to weapons, akin to the Akuma skin.
4) Season of Accord – Dreamspell

Much like the past title updates, TU3 will come with a new Season of Accord, Dreamspell. The Season of Accord is planned to go live in late October and will be available till the first half of November. During the event, you will have access to new Event Quests, Layered Armor, Seikret skin, and more. Do note that the contents of the Season of Accord will be separate from the FF14 Collab.
5) Arch-Tempered Nu Udra

Lastly, as per tradition, with TU3, Capcom is adding another Arch-tempered Monster to the game. This time, it’s the Black Flame, aka Nu Udra, that’s getting the Arch-tempered variant. Considering the incredibly powerful skills included with Arch-tempered gear, you don’t want to miss out on this monster. Arch-tempered Nu Udra will be available in late October and will be added as a permanent Event Quest later.
