How To Get Agura No Hotei-Sama in Silent Hill F
To secure Agura No Hotei-Sama, you must already be on a second playthrough. Completing the game once unlocks New Game Plus, and only then does the Agura No Hotei-Sama appear. Progress until Chapter 9, where the Dark Shrine Main Hall becomes crucial. By this point, you will need two specific abilities: the Fox Arm and the Focus ability.
The Fox Arm helps to destroy enemies permanently and access heavy doors, while Focus helps to dissolve bloodied sigil walls at the cost of draining your Sanity. Once in the Dark Shrine Main Hall’s upper floor, look for the large fox statue mural. This section hides a bloodied sigil wall in the western room.
Use Focus here, and you will gain entry to the Hermitage of Crimson Water. Inside the lone building of this secret area, you will see a table in the centre. Interact with it, and the Agura No Hotei-Sama will be yours.
How To Use Agura No Hotei-Sama
Agura No Hotei-Sama is only part of what is required to reach the Fox’s Wedding Ending. You need to avoid Red Capsules throughout the run, as consuming even one prevents this path. Healing must rely on bandages or other safe alternatives. The Sacred Sword also plays a role; either skip it completely or purify it if you choose to collect it. Without following these extra conditions, the item alone will not unlock the desired outcome.
Aside from its story connection, the item is tied to a bronze trophy achievement. If trophies matter to you, this is one of the missable ones, since it can only be collected in New Game Plus.
