The shop is one of the most useful features in Megabonk, giving you powerful items that change the meta. The issue, however, is that the shop isn’t available from the start. This makes a good chunk of the early game very hard, as you’re deprived of the chance to buy powerful gear.
What makes it worse is that the game doesn’t really tell you how to unlock the shop. If you’re looking to upgrade and get stronger in Megabonk, you need the shop, and that’s what we’re here to help you with.
How To Unlock the Shop in Megabonk
The only way to unlock the shop in Megabonk is to simply play the game. There are no prerequisites for unlocking this feature. From our experience, we unlocked the shop by progressing through and completing quests. There was no single quest that rewarded us with the shop unlock.
Since there’s no definite unlock point for the shop, we recommend playing through the game and grinding all the quests. Make sure to check the main menu after each quest to see if the shop has appeared.

How To Use the Shop in Megabonk
Once the shop is available in the main menu, you can then use it to unlock powerful and permanent upgrades. These upgrades make your character stronger, granting you extra tome and weapon slots. If you’re looking to see all the game has to offer, you can’t afford to skip out on these upgrades.
As soon as the shop is in play, we recommend grinding out 50 Unlocks and aiming for the extra weapon slot. This is a game-changer for runs and helps balance out characters such as the Fox, who excels with multiple weapons in play.
