With update 16 Part 3 of Anime Eternal, we were introduced to Shadow Souls, which are some of the most important items if you want to upgrade your shadow soldiers. Starting from World 6, these souls are needed to boost your Shadows in either Damage or Energy, making them stronger and more effective. The drop rate isn’t very high, so farming them efficiently matters.

What Are Shadow Souls in Anime Eternal?
Shadow Souls are special drops found in later worlds once you complete World 5. They drop from NPCs starting in World 6 and beyond, with a drop chance of about 10% per NPC. You can use these Souls to upgrade your Shadow Soldiers for better stats in damage and energy.
Note: Shadow Souls drop from all enemies, but you can only farm shadows from SS-rank enemies.

Fastest Way To Farm Shadow Souls
The best farming location is World 8 – Leaf Village.
Why Leaf Village?
Most maps let you hit only four to five NPCs at once, but in Leaf Village, you can group all the enemies in a cluster and strike up to seven NPCs at once with your AOE attack for maximum efficiency. The more enemies you hit per swing, the higher the chances for Shadow Souls to drop.
Step-by-Step Farming Method
- Go to Leaf Village (World 8) – Head into the village area with clustered NPCs.
- Find the right position – Stand in the center to hit five NPCs by default.
- Use Attack Range Potion – Adds +10 range for fifteen minutes, letting you hit all seven NPCs. (Even without the potion, you’ll still hit five to six NPCs if you cluster them, which is efficient.)
- Upgrade attack range – Max out range in your skill tree for consistent hits.
- AFK grind – Use auto-attack to farm continuously.
