Here is what we know about the upcoming GTA Online Halloween event and what players can expect in the upcoming festivities.
While the Oktoberfest event is ongoing, Rockstar Games teased fans with a Halloween event. These yearly festivities are set to kick off next Thursday. While the release date is confirmed, it’s still unclear what event is coming exactly.
However, Rockstar has given fans hints on what events are expected to arrive next week. On top of that, promises of “rare treats” are also written in the newswire, further enticing players to look forward to the upcoming event. With that said, here is what we know about the upcoming GTA Online Halloween Event.

Rockstar Games Teases Halloween Event in GTA Online
Through the latest newswire, Rockstar Games unveils new content arriving in the game over the coming weeks. According to the post, “The Supernatural Returns to Southern San Andreas,” it hints at an event featuring that region in the game.
On top of that, there are also hints of game modes or missions where you “Fight off hordes of undead in snowy North Yankton.” This likely hints at the return of the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival job. This game mode pits you against hordes of undead and possessed animals. Survive and you will receive generous rewards.
Rockstar also mentioned how players will “embrace the dark against a new foe.” This might suggest a new type of enemy in the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival job. With that said, information about the upcoming Halloween event in GTA Online remains under wraps.
Aside from that, there are also hints of fan-favourite Freemode events returning in the game. Furthermore, players can look forward to “rare trats” up for grabs during the event period.

When Is the GTA Online Halloween Event
The GTA Online Halloween Event will kick off next Thursday, September 2, 2025. It will arrive alongside the usual weekly content released for the game. It’s still unknown if the Halloween festivities will last for only a week or in weekly phases. Some modes or bonuses may rotate weekly. However, rare items may be unlocked only in a specific window.
With that said, we’ll just have to wait for more announcements from Rockstar Games. Players will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
