Skate: Best Settings for RTX 50 Series

Here are the optimized settings for any of your RTX 50 series GPUs tuned for playing Skate at any desktop resolution.

Skate runs incredibly well on modern GPUs, such as the RTX 50 Series. However, being an Early Access title, the game has its issues. This includes microstuttering and noticeable shimmering at the native TAA anti-aliasing settings.

Most performance problems stem from the heavy CPU requirements. Based on our findings, you will require a CPU with at least a Ryzen 5 7600 or higher. This is due to the Gen 5 and PCIe lanes, cutting GPU bandwidth in half on older Gen 4 and Gen 3 platforms. The settings below will temporarily fix the CPU-bound nature and help you get a seamless gaming experience.

Note: DLSS is not currently present in the game. In the future, this may change.

Skate – Best Settings For RTX 5050, RTX 5060, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5070

With a good CPU, you can enjoy Skale, even with an RTX 5050, at 1440p resolution. The game is not that demanding for modern hardware; the only catch is the CPU requirements. Over time, with updates, the developer will likely address this issue. That said, the settings below apply to all 60 class cards. You are good to go as long as you have a CPU with a power greater than or equal to that of a Ryzen 5 7600.

With the 5060 Ti, if you’re experiencing stuttering, the best thing to do is cap your frame rate. That way, you will save energy and still get an enjoyable experience. This is a temporary workaround, and you need to wait until the devs fix the game.

You can play in Native TAA with RTX 5060 and above, but our observations show that the image quality has significant noise and appears soft to look at. The XeSS upscaler from Intel does a fantastic job of cleaning up the image and making it temporally stable, which is why we have opted for the highest quality.

Skate – Best Settings For RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, RTX 5090

With this kind of computing power, starting with the RTX 5070 and up to the RTX 5090. This game can be thoroughly enjoyed at 4K without any issues. These are the max settings to dial in. However, the power consumption will be enormously high on RTX 5070 Ti and beyond. 

We suggest using frame capping to save power, as your monitor, beyond its max refresh rate, does not benefit from these extra frame rates. The game is already super smooth to play at your monitor’s max refresh rate. A super high frame rate does lower the input latency, but the difference at that level is barely noticeable.
