Silver in Megabonk is the game’s primary currency, and you’ll need lots of it if you want to progress. Unfortunately, you won’t just find Silver lying around randomly while playing. Instead, you’ll need to know exactly where and how you can farm this resource. Otherwise, you might be unable to unlock many of the items and upgrades, limiting you from fighting higher-level enemies.

How To Farm Silver in Megabonk
You have five major ways of obtaining Silver in the game. Let’s take a look at all of these:
- You can consistently upgrade your Silver Tome to acquire more Silver. You will be able to upgrade this specific item as you level up in Megabonk. So, make sure you choose this update every time your level goes up.
- Whenever you spot silvery-blue pots, make sure to break them open. You’ll find these randomly across the map, and breaking them will almost always give you a few Silvers.
- The higher the tier level of your run, the more Silver you’ll be able to earn. For instance, at the lowest tier level of 1, your Silver earning potential is 1x. However, when you scale to tier level 3, the earnings potential increases to 1.2x.
- When you have the Shop tab available, you can use that to purchase an upgrade named Increase Silver Earned. You can purchase the upgrade several times, and the effect stacks every time. With it, your future runs will generate more Silver.
- Always check for available quests and complete them. Finishing quests will earn you a meagre amount of Silver, but this can stack up over time.

How To Use Silver in Megabonk
Now that you know the various farming methods for Silver, you might be wondering about how to use it. Silver is a type of currency that’ll help you to purchase or unlock many new weapons, characters, and items in the game. However, simply having a hoard of Silver isn’t enough. Each unlockable has some requirements that you must meet first.
After you’ve fulfilled all criteria, you can then spend a specific amount of Silver to finally unlock that item or character. To unlock more items, you have to go to the main menu screen. From there, click on the Unlocks section and see which items or characters you are eligible to unlock.
