With the recent Vault update of Steal a Fish, we got one of the biggest additions in the game, the Fish Vault. Now you can store rare fish safely, trade them later, or keep them ready for rebirth requirements in a safe space.
Unlocking it requires a bit of a grind, as you need a huge amount of money and specific rare fish before you can access the vault. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about unlocking and upgrading the fish vault so you can keep your ultra rare fish safe.
What Is the Fish Vault in Steal a Fish?
The Fish Vault is a storage room for your rarest fish. It acts like a secure safe where your catches are protected for future use. Stored fish don’t generate money, so you’ll need to decide which ones are worth locking away. The vault also has a social side: by turning on the “friends allowed” option, you can flaunt your collection in front of your friends in the same lobby.
How To Unlock the Fish Vault
To unlock the Fish Vault, you must complete a rebirth that requires:
- $150Qa money
- 1x Baby Deep Eater
- 2x Zholthagru
- 1x Sacabambaspis
This step requires both heavy grinding and rare fish collection. Admin Abuse events are the best time to catch these required fish. Once you rebirth with the listed requirements, the vault becomes available, adding another floor to your base.
How To Upgrade Fish Vault Slots
The vault starts with limited slots, but you can expand it by completing another rebirth. Each upgrade adds 2 extra slots. Upgrade requirements are as follows:
- $2.75Qi money
- 3x Star Strider
- 1x Aurorawhale
- 1x Cthulhu
- 1x Hungry Deer
This stage is tougher due to higher money and rare fish requirements.
How To Use the Fish Vault
Since stored fish don’t generate income, only place the fish you’ll need for rebirths or future trading. Keep your main earners outside to keep the money flowing. The vault is best for duplicating rare fish. You can also save rare fish that will be required for further rebirths. Make sure to vault special catches like Zholthagru or Cthulhu; you don’t want to risk losing, because others will try to steal it.
