Kyubi is an alternate boss that you can encounter in Silent Hill F. Read this article to learn how to defeat it.

How To Unlock Kyubi in Silent Hill F
You can encounter Kyubi in the Dark Shrine Final Path during Chapter 13. In order to start this boss fight, you have to do certain things. Firstly, you cannot use Red Capsules to heal, as this will lock the encounter. Secondly, you need to obtain the Sacred Sword. If you already completed the ‘Fox Wets Its Tail’ ending, you can get this sword by the second Jizo Statue near Rinko’s house. Lastly, you have to do the offering ritual at the five Jizo statues.
How To Beat Kyubi in Silent Hill F
Unlike Shichibi, Kyubi is far more aggressive, and on top of that, this boss has multiple phases. In order to beat this boss, you have to use bigger weapons to stagger it. The best way to fight this boss is to be as aggressive as possible. During the Kyubi boss fight, you also fight Tsukumogami, and Hinako even switches to Fox Hinako to meet the power requirements.
There are six phases in this fight, three for Kyubi and three for Tsukumogami. If you fought Tsukumogami before, you will have no problem, but you should remember their moveset.

Kyubi Moveset in Silent Hill F
- Tail Attack: Kyubi uses her tail to strike Hinako, and this attack can be used as a combo.
- Claw Strike: The boss attacks with its claw, and it can be used as a combo with Tail Attack.
- Kyubi Bite: Kyubi bites Hinako to deal a significant amount of damage.
- Leap Attack: While retreating, Kyubi slashes with its claw, dealing damage.
- Grab: Kyubi charges toward Hinako to pin her.
- Tendrils Attack: The boss summons multiple pools of light that attack Hinako after a small period of time.
- Summons: Kyubi summons a number of enemies.
Tips for Defeating Kyubi in Silent Hill F
- Always try to eliminate summons before focusing on Kyubi, so you don’t get overwhelmed.
- Keep a distance from the pools of light to avoid any kind of damage.
- Manage your health items and stamina, as you can die pretty fast if you are careless.
