How the Puzzle Works
Before anything else, you need to understand how this puzzle works in the game. The Crimson Water Puzzle in Silent Hill f requires you to interact with three specific bells, which have Volcano, Water, and Tree symbols above them. You can find these bells inside the Dark Shrine Main Hall after reaching Chapter 9 of the story campaign.
Your goal is to ring these three bells in the right order. Upon ringing a bell, you need to keep an eye out for the bamboo fountain. Once it makes a sound, interact with the next bell, then continue this process until you press all three of them. You can find the clues in a journal you can find in a stone across the bridge near the area.

The stone mentioned in the journal represents the volcano symbols in the first bell. The second bell represents the lake. Lastly, the third bell represents the “great tree.”

Crimson Water Puzzle Solution
To solve the Crimson Water Puzzle in Silent Hill f, you need to ring the bell in the right order. The order of the bells is Volcano, Water, and then Tree. Keep in mind that you need to ring these bells in order. On top of that, you need to wait for the sound cue before ringing the next bell.
You can find the first bell near the entrance of the temple. It’s on a higher ground, overlooking the water. The symbol should be a volcano or a stone.
The second bell is on a small island surrounded by water. It’s dangling on a pale-looking tree. The symbol for this bell is waves of water.
You can locate the final third bell on a stone bridge on the right path. This one is dangling on a tree that’s surrounded by water. The symbol in this bell is a tree.

Purify Sacred Sword
Once you have completed the Crimson Water Puzzle in Silent Hill f, you can proceed to purify the Sacred Sword. This ritual is important to unlock certain endings in the game. However, you need to complete this quest before entering the Zhimizu Residence. Keep in mind that once you purify the Sacred Sword, the weapon will no longer regenerate its durability.
