Learn how to find the Pine Tree Emblem in Silent Hill F, solve the My Room puzzle, and face Hinako’s parents.
If you are playing Silent Hill F, the Pine Tree Emblem is one of those things you can’t ignore. It’s basically a wooden badge carved with a pine tree, but it’s more than just decoration. This little emblem is the key to unlocking the last part of the Shimizu Residence. Once you have it, you are thrown straight into an important fight that pushes the story forward.

How To Get the Pine Tree Emblem in Silent Hill F
You will be looking for this Pine Tree emblem in Chapter 10 inside the Shimizu Residence. That area has three different versions of itself, and you move between them by finding calendars. To get the emblem, you need to solve the My Room puzzle, which means gathering three crest plates.
The first crest, the Scales Plate, shows up after you balance dolls on a scale in Shimizu Residence II. Then, the second one, the White Bird and Fox Plate, comes out of a wall after you fix a missing painting and flip Hinako’s portrait upside down in Shimizu Residence I. Finally, the last one, the Black Bird and Sword Plate, takes a bit more work. You will find a diary with a block of wax, grab a propane tube, melt the wax in the kitchen, and use the key inside to open a door in Shimizu Residence III. That gets you the third crest.
Once you have all three, head back to Hinako’s bedroom door in the first version of the residence. You will find a lock where you place the three plates, plus the Heavens Plate that’s already there. One solution is: Heavens Plate on top, Sword Plate on the left, Fox Plate on the right, and Scales Plate upside down at the bottom. Solve it, and the door opens. Inside, you will spot the Pine Tree Emblem sitting on Hinako’s study desk.

Now that you have got the Pine Tree Emblem, take it to the red door near where you first heard Shu’s voice. Using it there starts a boss fight against Hinako’s parents. The father is slow but very strong, while the mother moves faster and switches between close and ranged attacks. If you want to end the fight quickly, focus on the father first; his defeat ends the entire encounter.
