No Escape Room becomes available following the 17th main story mission, The Falling Wall. You can start the mission by heading to the Terminus District in Dominion City. Enter the purple-lit tunnel until you reach a “No Escape Room” poster with a red button next to it. Interact with the button and accept the mission to begin.

As soon as you accept the mission, you will drop through a trapdoor into an escape room, with Smiley Man giving you instructions about the first puzzle.

Door Puzzle

The first puzzle presents you with three doors, with one being safe and the other two leading to a fiery death. You have to choose the door without any blood and gore in front of it as the obvious safe option.

  • Choose the third door from the left, with the yellow light above it.

Box and Key Puzzle

The second puzzle involves opening the boxes in the correct order and using the key in each box to unlock the next box in the correct sequence. The sequence is provided by the cardboard sheets scattered around the area. Each cardboard sheet shows the position of a box in the correct sequence, represented by the box’s symbol. For example, if the symbol on the cardboard sheet is placed after two skulls, the box with the same symbol needs to be opened third. Here is the correct sequence to open the boxes:

  • 2nd Box
  • 5th Box
  • 4th Box
  • 1st Box
  • 3rd Box

No Escape Room Maze

The final puzzle is an elaborate maze with traps throughout it. You need to time your movement over the fire trap, passing over it right after the jet of flame pauses. The barriers of wood and metal mesh can be destroyed by shooting them. There are multiple routes to escape the maze, with nearly any path potentially leading to the exit. The easiest way to solve the maze is to follow the direction the carrots on the ground are pointing.

Escape the Poison Gas Trap

After you make it through all the puzzles, Smiley Man tries to finish you off with poisonous gas. Use your grappling hook on the grate cover (glowing green) to your right. Then, shoot the mechanism inside to disable the poisonous gas.

Confront Smiley Man, and he will accidentally die from one of his own traps. Escape the No Escape Room through the doorway to your left while looting the chests along the way.
