99 Nights in the Forest Meteor Update: Obsidiron Hammer
How To Get the Obsidiron Hammer
The Obsidiron Hammer is a random drop from the new Obsidiron Chest in 99 Nights in the Forest Meteor Update. This is a new chest added with the Meteor Shower Update on September 27, 2025. Unlike other chests, which you can find in certain locations around the map, players can only get the Obsidiron Chest by crafting it at the Meteor Anvil.
How To Craft the Obsidiron Chest
After the Meteor Shower occurs in-game, the Meteor Anvil will be highlighted on the map. Make your way there to craft the Obsidirodn Chest using the following crafting materials.

| 10 Meteor Shards | Mined from the red crystals at meteor crash sites or from killing Meteor Crabs. |
| 5 Golden Shards | Rare drop from mining the red crystals. |
| 3 Obsidiron Ingot | Refined from the Raw Obsidiron Ore found by mining the black crystals at meteor sites. |
Follow these steps:
- First, activate the Meteor Anvil by putting back the broken pieces of the big anvil.
- Select the Obsidiron Chest Recipe as shown in the photo above.
- Place all of the listed materials on the anvil and wait for the crafting to finish.
- Pick up the Obsidiron Chest Blueprint and take it back to your campfire.
- Now, place the chest like any other furniture and open it.
- If you are lucky, you may get the Obsidiron Hammer on your first attempt. Otherwise, rinse and repeat the process.
Obsidiron Hammer Stats
It has the same swing stat as the Morningstar, letting you swing it in 1 second. On top of dealing some very high damage in melee range, the Obsidiron Hammer also creates explosions after a bar is filled. You can find the bar above your hunger meter. Once full, it creates an explosion around the player character, dealing 50-60 damage to all enemies in range.
The bar fills every time you do damage, or when you take damage while wearing the Obsidiron Body and Boots. This makes it one of the best weapons for melee fighters in 99 Nights in the Forest.
