In this guide, we shall go over how to acquire the Skeleton Key and unlock the door in Cloverpit, so you can escape the hell you’re stuck in.

Cloverpit locks you into a room with a single door out, threatening you with death should you not pay your debts. The only way to escape this hell you find yourself in is to walk out the door, but it doesn’t budge and is locked. A key hangs before you, but it, too, is locked inside a glass cage.
The game is about pushing your luck using a slot machine, and as is always the case with gambling, your luck is guaranteed to run out at some point. If you’re looking to defy death and escape this room, you need to use the door. If you don’t know how to do so, this guide is for you.

How To Open the Door in Cloverpit

You open the door using the Skeleton Key item in Cloverpit. But this is not an item you acquire through a phone call or simple charm purchase. You have to follow the series of steps below to acquire the Skeleton Key:
- Start a run in Cloverpit and play through a few rounds till you have a sufficient amount of coins.
- Use your coins regularly to purchase charms from the shop right opposite the slot machine.
- Once you have purchased the charms, you’ll see them pop up on the desk right next to the slot machine. Walk up to these charms and click on them to “Inspect” and open a menu.
- In the menu, select “Put in drawer.” Your charms will then transfer over to the drawer beneath the shop. There are four such drawers, so you need to fill them all by putting a charm in each.
- Now, restart your run and check the drawer. You’ll find Blood items here. Pick all of these up and then purchase the Skull from the shop.
- Once you have all these items, simply run through a few rounds, and the Skeleton Key will unlock on its own. Pick it up, and use the key to unlock the door and escape.
