Here’s a list of some amazing games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 by the end of 2025. This list includes both first and third-party games.
2025 is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops now. In fact, some big game launches are happening by the end of 2025, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Even other AAA titles, such as Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, were also on the cards, but unfortunately, they are now delayed to 2026. In this article, you will find a list of some popular games that will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 by the end of 2025.

Best Games Coming Soon to Nintendo Switch 2
1) Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Ubisoft released the AAA blockbuster Assassin’s Creed Shadows in March 2025 for all major platforms. Back then, Switch 2 was not available. However, after its launch in June 2025, Ubisoft promised to bring the game to the handheld in December 2025. For those unaware, AC Shadows tells the story of 16th-century feudal Japan, where a shinobi assassin and a samurai must unite against their common enemy.
2) Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a brand new title in the Metroid Prime series, and will release on both Switch 1 and Switch 2. However, the game will look and play much better on the Switch 2, including 120 FPS at handheld mode and 4K60 at docked mode. In the game, you will step into the shoes of the famous bounty hunter Samus Aran, who crash-lands on an unknown planet and must find a way to get back home while surviving on this hostile planet.
3) Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2
Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2 are essentially remakes of the original Yakuza 1 and 2 released back in 2005 and 2006. The remakes were launched in 2016, but they are launching on the Nintendo platform for the first time on November 13, 2025. The Switch 2 release of these two games will feature updated visuals and performance to deliver a better gameplay experience. If you have not played Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2, the Nintendo Switch 2 will offer a great way of enjoying these two classic titles on the go.
4) Borderlands 4
Borderlands 4 is the fifth installment in the Borderlands series, contrary to what the name suggests. This looter-shooter game features a significantly better world design, movement/combat system, story, and much more compared to its predecessor, Borderlands 3. This game was supposed to launch on October 3, 2025, but has been delayed indefinitely. However, since 2K Games didn’t explicitly mention 2026, a Christmas launch is still on the cards.
