The Reaper in Necesse is the eighth boss, and he looks exactly how he sounds: a skeleton in a hooded robe holding a scythe. To summon the boss, you will need to obtain the Shadow Gate and use it in the Deep Forest Caves. However, to get that, you will need to mime Tungsten. For that, you will need to defeat another boss and unlock the Deep Down Ladder.

If all of that sounds confusing, then do not worry, we will give you all the details on how to summon and defeat the Reaper in Necesse.

To summon Reaper in Necesse, players will have to obtain and use the Shadow Gate. You can make it with 4x Tungsten Bar, 8x Ectoplasm, and 8x Bone. After obtaining all the resources, you will need a Tungsten Workstation to craft the gate. Now, for the Tungsten, you will have to beat the Pirate Captain to obtain the Deep Ladder Down, which unlocks the Deep Caves.

Once you have made the Shadow Gate, go to the Deep Forest Caves and use it to summon the Reaper. He comes with the following health levels in all difficulties:

  • Casual: 6000
  • Adventure: 9000
  • Classic: 11000
  • Hard: 13000
  • Brutal: 18000

Once the fight begins, the Reaper will start ramming you, and repeat it four times. He has 30 armor, 65 Collision, 65 Scythe, and 60 Spirit damage. Then, the boss will start to summon multiple Reaper Spirits. These smaller goons will follow you and attack you. So, kill them as quickly as possible. After that, the Reaper will bring his scythe into the action. He will throw it in the air, and it will come back to him after a bit like a boomerang.

This is the first pattern of attacks. Once you damage the Reaper enough to bring his health to 50%, his ramming will become faster, and performing them, he will conjure two portals for Reaper Spirits and disappear. Not just that, but the boss will also start the teleport whenever he throws the Scythe. Once you get this pattern down, you will be able to defeat the Ripper in Necesse.
