Learn how to complete the Adopt Me Halloween Spotlight Rune and Key quests to earn Candy Corn and unlock rare rewards
Adopt Me is one of the featured games in the Halloween Spotlight event, giving players the chance to earn a Rune and a Key by playing Halloween-themed minigames. To join, you need to enter the Adopt Me portal from the Halloween Spotlight Cursed Clearing. Once inside, head to Patchy’s Arcade on Adoption Island. There, you will see three special minigames: The Hauntlet, Costume Party, and Sleep or Treat; completing each will reward you with Candy Corn.

Halloween Spotlight Adopt Me Rune Guide
To get the Rune, your goal is to earn a total of 4000 candy corn from event minigames, except the new Where Bear minigame.
The quickest way to get this badge is by playing Costume Party. A creative game mode where you have 90 seconds to dress your pet based on a random theme; you can then vote for others’ pets as well. The best part is, even with minimal votes, you can earn around 2,800 Candy Corn per round, which means you only need to play 2 games of this minigame.
Once you reach 4,000 Candy Corn, you will earn the Spotlight Rune badge, which you can use to unlock the standard reward path in the event hub and unlock free limited-time UGCs.

Adopt Me Key Guide
After earning the Rune, you can start the Key quest. To complete it, you must earn 3,000 Candy Corn in a single round of any mini game three times. Again, Where Bear does not count for this objective.
To get this done in one go, the best minigame is Sleep or Treat; you can play this gamemode every 15–20 minutes. In this minigame, your main goal is to run around a spooky residential map, knock on doors three times, and collect candy and submit it to the pumpkin at the center of the map before time runs out. To make things even more fun, the game will spawn DJ Snooze, who can put you to sleep and make you drop 20% of your candy.
You can use power-ups like the Headset to resist sleep attacks and Candy Potions to move faster. Each game of Sleep or Treat will give you 3500+ candies, which means you can get your Key badge in 3 games.
Event Tips for Adopt Me Halloween Spotlight
- Avoid playing on private servers, as public servers give more Candy Corn.
- While the objective is easy; the games can take an hour to complete as they go into cooldown.
- Collecting both Rune and Key rewards can help you unlock limited-time UGC rewards in the Cursed Clearing hub.
