The On the Eve of Bloom story quest in Duet Night Abyss focuses on Psyche’s introspection and emotional growth. To start the story, finish the Prey VS Hunter quest first. Once it is done, head to Hypnos House in Icelake. Go upstairs and find Psyche sitting near a vase of flowers. She is deep in thought, and that is where your dialogue begins.
Subsequently, the interaction here is important because your answers affect your Impression stats. Choose your replies based on how you want Psyche to see you.
How To Complete On the Eve of Bloom Story in Duet Night Abyss
This quest is all about conversation and observation. You will not fight enemies, but your choices matter a lot. You start by talking to Psyche, who is worried about her flowers. Pick a dialogue from the options below to decide your approach.

Selecting the Morality option naturally leads you to the next step of the quest.
Locate the Special Soil at Lamenting Lake
After talking to Psyche, head to Lamenting Lake to find the special soil she described. The easiest way to get there is by teleporting to Windwake Pier Avian Tower or Icelake Outskirts Avian Tower.
From there, walk toward the waterfall area. Follow the quest marker and look for a small patch of land near the water. Collect the soil once you find it. You will not have to fight any enemies here.
Go back to Hypnos House with the soil. Talk to Psyche again to finish the quest. She will reflect on the meaning of flowers being separated from their roots. You will get two more Impression checks before the quest ends.
Prompt 4:
Flowers, stems, and leaves all belong to the same plant, yet people cut the flowers to admire their beauty, leaving them to wilt and die alone.
