Outer Worlds 2: How To Fast Travel

Fast travel is an important gameplay mechanic in Outer Worlds 2 since the colony of Arcadia offers a vast area to explore. Luckily, the game provides an efficient way of traveling by simply selecting a blue compass on the map.

As you embark on a mission to investigate rifts in spacetime as an agent of the Earth Directorate, fast travel will save you a lot of time. However, you cannot fast travel to every location on the map. The designated fast travel points are marked with a blue compass.

Fast Travel in Outer Worlds 2

This is a relatively simple mechanic. Open the map, and you will find Landmarks and Local Areas marked with a blue compass. Select the blue compass to travel to that area. However, keep in mind that the map is usually densely populated with markers. To make a precise selection, zoom in.

Additionally, fast travel is unlocked during the Recalling the Score main mission, which takes place quite early in the game. In this mission, you will reach Paradise Island. After that, you can begin free-roaming. Explore the unknown parts of the map to reveal Landmarks and Local Areas. Once you have explored these locations, they will become available for fast travel.
