Kuwait has lifted its ban on Roblox with certain restrictions limiting player interactions. The decision comes roughly two months after the country blocked the popular gaming platform, citing child risk. While players can now start using the platform after the ban was reversed on October 28, 2025, chat functions remain unavailable.
Kuwaiti news outlet Al Quabas reports that Roblox removed banned words from the platform as one of the steps to comply with the regulatory authorities of the country. In addition, in-game conversation features are blocked, meaning players based in Kuwait will not be able to use the chat feature in most games.

The Roblox ban has been lifted in Kuwait, and the popular gaming app is back with some restrictions on the chat features to provide better protection for users.

Kuwait Times reports that the country’s regulatory authority, CITRA (Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority), banned Roblox in August due to child safety concerns. As per the news outlet, CITRA reportedly took action over concerns from the public and other authorities who warned about possible unsafe material on the platform.
The material could allegedly lead to electronic exploitation, which is unfit for children’s consumption. The ban was temporary until the company changed its child protection standards. It seems Roblox met the requirements, as it is once again available in the country.
The gaming giant has received much criticism over the last few months, both in the US and in other countries. There are several cases of child exploitation filed in 2025 against Roblox in states like Kentucky, Florida, Oklahoma, and more. And Kuwait is not the only country to restrict/ban the platform.
