Duet Night Abyss has a ton of characters you can pick from, but if you’re one that yearns for high DPS with extensive survivability, very few compare to Outsider. Outsider is an Anemo character that comes with impressive stats and a very cool look.

Armed with both a powerful default weapon and impeccable drip, Outsider is a force to be reckoned with, and even more so if you build him right. With this guide, we aim to help you with just that. Below, we shall devise the best Outsider build in Duet Night Abyss, and shall also go over his best loadouts, Demon Wedge, team composition, and more.

Duet Night Abyss Best Outsider Build

Outsider is an Anemo-type character in Duet Night Abyss, who primarily relies on high DPS and stealth to cut through enemies. If the high DPS was somehow not reason enough, Outsider’s Ultimate further boosts your attack speed, which then scales up the DPS even more. To push it even beyond, you can then arm Outsider with the Exiled Fangs for melee, and a Sacrosanct Chorus for ranged.

Outsider is then made even more broken with his damage tendency. As he takes damage, he dishes out even more with his Fang Spike. This is perfect for dealing with crowds. Should the crowds get too difficult to handle, however, Outsider can use stealth to slip into the shadows, where he then remains unseen. When he bursts back out, he then deals high damage for a short burst. This makes Outsider excellent for mobs and bosses

To make the most of Outsider, we suggest using the following kit:

1. Exiled Fangs (Best melee weapon): The Exiled Fangs, Outsider’s main weapon, is the best weapon for him. While you may think there are better, and there are, what makes Exiled Fangs a perfect fit is the passive HP restoration. Anytime Outsider’s health falls below 25 percent, there’s a 45 percent chance to restore 1.8 percent of the max HP. This is ideal when you’re playing aggressively and using your Fang Spikes to boost damage dealt per damage taken.

Apart from the passive HP restoration, the Exiled Fangs also give Outsider a passive attack speed buff of 30 percent. This only serves to increase the DPS further, making the Exiled Fangs the perfect fit for Outsider.

2. Sacrosanct Chorus (Best Ranged Weapon): Outsider is primarily a melee character, but he does do fairly well when wielding the Sacrosanct Chorus from a distance. This pistol comes with a passive CRIT chance boost of 50 percent, which allows you to chip away large chunks of HP every 2 hits. The CRIT damage also grants a multishot for 12 seconds, and you can then deal damage further.

Team Composition for Best Outsider Build in Duet Night Abyss

Outsider pairs extremely well with the likes of Margie and Truffle and Filbert. As a support character, Truffle and Filbert provide consistent healing, ensuring that Outsider stays in the fight. Margie is someone we recommend purely for the damage boost in combat. We want to end the fights as fast as possible, and Margie will help us do that.

As far as your Geniemon goes, there are none that fit better than Anemelf. Anemelf comes with a passive HP restoration perk that automatically heals Outsider by 10 percent of max HP whenever below 25 percent health. This, once again, fits into the aggressive playstyle and build we’re going for. Since Outsider is an Anemo-type character, Anemelf also boosts Anemo attack by 3 percent, while also granting additional resolve.

Tips and Tricks To Use Our Best Outsider Build in Duet Night Abyss

Make the most of the character (Source: Hero Games | Kanon/YouTube)
Make the most of the character (Source: Hero Games | Kanon/YouTube)

Following these tips and tricks will allow you to melt enemy swarms and bosses with ease:

  • As you can see, our whole build relies on taking damage, and using that damage taken to boost the damage we deal. This makes it imperative to play aggressively at all times. Taking damage will generate Fang Spikes, which will then hit nearby enemies and eat a chunk of their health.
  • Use the Predator’s Pounce to bring to retract Fang Spikes and don the Ultra Shield. Since the shield granted is directly proportional to the Fangs retracted, it once again plays to our point of playing aggressively. Once you have your shield, it will then grant you protection from several mobs, ensuring that you live to fight another day. This shield will also boost your attack speed, so it is important to use it as an active part of your battle strategy.
  • Once the shield goes, you’ll be at very low HP and completely vulnerable to enemy attacks. This is the one instance where you have to let go of aggression and use your Stealthy Prowl. You’ll turn invisible, and the enemies then won’t be able to see you. Your movement speed will also increase, so use this opportunity to quickly bail and recover at a distance.
