Travelling through the vast expanse of space can be a lonely journey in The Outer Worlds 2. But if you don’t wish to be a lone wolf, then there are plenty of travel companions for your ship. These are your ship pets, and even though they cannot be part of your battles, they can still be on board the spaceship.
The pets in the game come in many forms but offer no bonuses apart from adding to The Incognito’s aesthetics. From drones to space pigs, the game is full of weird companions to collect. Below, we discuss all the pets found in The Outer Worlds 2 and how to get them for your ship.
All Pets in The Outer Worlds 2
You can get Ship pets for The Incognito in The Outer Worlds 2 by completing side quests or buying them. If you keep a lookout for them, some pets can also be found during exploration. Here’s a guide on how to get all the pets found in The Outer Worlds 2.

Lucy the Crabble
One of the first pets you’ll get in The Outer Worlds 2 is probably Lucy. You acquire her head to the Crabble Farm on Paradise Island and talk to Crabble Rancher Casey. She’ll ask you to help a sick Lucy with Medical 5 or a Trauma Kit. After treating her, you can have her join you as a companion on the ship.
Hover Drone
One of the first pets in The Outer Worlds 2 that can be purchased from a merchant is the Hover Drone. To buy one for yourself, you need to first go to Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Centre, located on Paradise Island. From there, head towards Hazel’s Automated store to buy the Hover Drone for The Incognito.
Zyranium Mantiwasp
After completing Paradise Island, head to Golden Ridge on Dorado towards the far north side of the area. There you’ll come across a merchant in Fort Endurance called Bonnie’s The Battlefront Baker. This merchant sells the Zyranium Mantiwasp for 2,000 Bit Cartridges.
Raptidon Juvenile & Gold Canid
Both of these pets can be purchased from General Peddler at Unrelated Bric-A-Brac on The ACS Undisputed Claim. This area becomes available after completing the Greater Tranquillity Station mission. The Gold Canid and the Raptidon Juvenile can be purchased for 5,000 and 4,000 bits, respectively.
N-Radiated Raptidon Juvenile
This is a starving Raptidon Juvenile you find on the planet Praetor. You need to help it before recruiting it on The Incognito. Feed it food to bring it back to health, and then send it to the kennel on your ship. Lastly, this will add the N-Radiated Raptidon Juvenile to your list of pets in The Outer Worlds 2.
Electric Mantiwasp
This pet is available to purchase in a camp on Praetor from Quartermaster Owsley at Military Supply Surplus. From the Landing Pad, head along the road to find Auntie’s Border Camp. Finally, you can purchase the Electric Mantiwasp for 3,000 bits from there.
