Learn all the methods by which you can obtain Synthesized Fuel in Arc Raiders and use it to upgrade the Explosives station.
Synthesized Fuel is a rare Topside Material in Arc Raiders that is sought after for upgrading the Explosives Workshop Station from level 1 to level 2. It can also be dropped and shot to create a small explosion as the fuel ignites. The item description lists ‘Exodus’ as the source, which makes exact spawns hard to pin down.
Where To Find Synthesized Fuel in Arc Raiders
There are three main ways to get Synthesized Fuel in Arc Raiders:
- Purchase from Celeste in exchange for seeds.
- Loot from Exodus locations.
- Recycle Rocket Thruster.

Celeste Shop
The easiest and most efficient way to procure Synthesized Fuel is to purchase it from Celeste in Speranza, as she always keeps some in stock. You will unlock Celeste’s shop upon reaching level 12 by completing missions and going on raids.
1x Synthesized Fuel costs 14x Assorted Seeds. You can collect seeds through trading, looting generic containers, and completing faction missions.
Exodus Locations
To find Synthesized Fuel during your raids to the surface, look for locations with the Exodus tag. These have a chance of containing Synthesized Fuel. The best Exodus location to search is the Rocket Assembly in the Spaceport map.
Recycle Rocket Thruster
Rocket Thruster is another rare resource that possesses the Exodus tag. This means that you have a chance of finding Rocket Thrusters while looking for Synthesized Fuel on the surface. If you do, recycle a Rocket Thruster to get 2x Synthesized Fuel and 6x Metal Parts.

How To Use Synthesized Fuel in Arc Raiders
The best use of Synthesized Fuel is to upgrade the Explosives Station to Level 2. To do so, you’ll need:
- 3x Synthesized Fuel
- 5x Crude Explosives
- 5x Pop Trigger
Crude Explosives can be crafted from Chemicals at the Refiner or gathered from Industrial and Security locations. Pop Triggers are common crafting materials found by destroying and looting Arc machines.
Once you have all three resources, head over to the Explosives Station in the Workshop and upgrade it to Level 2. With the upgrade completed, you can now craft Blaze Grenades at the Explosives station.
If you already have a Level 2 Explosives Station, you can recycle Synthesized Fuel to get 1x Oil and 1x Plastic Parts. Oil is required to upgrade the Explosives Station to Level 3, and for other Workshop upgrades like Refiner Level 2 and Gunsmith Level 3.
