Up, Up, and Away After Emolga! in Pokemon Legends Z-A is a side quest, specifically Side Mission 89, that you can take up and complete. You’ll receive a bunch of rewards for finishing this quest. However, like most side missions in the game, this one becomes available after you’ve made it through a portion of the game’s main campaign. So, in the following guide, we’ll explore exactly how far you need to reach in the main campaign to be able to finally take up this side quest. We’ll also find out what you need to do to complete Up, Up, and Away After Emolga! quest.

How To Start Up, Up, And Away After Emolga! in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Reach the Holovator near Cafe Kizuna

To start with the quest, you will need to first unlock Main Mission 30: Reaching Rank B. So, you can try to attempt this specific side quest after the point in the main story where you defeat Lebanne. If you’re already at this point of the campaign, simply head to Cafe Kizuna. There, take the Holovator up to the roof and talk to the NPC named Urmand. Speaking with him will initiate the Up, Up, and Away After Emolga! quest.

Keep in mind that the Holovator we refer to here can be unlocked only after you complete the side quest dubbed A Shocking Territorial Dispute. So, make sure you finish that quest before trying to reach Urmand to begin Up, Up, And Away After Emolga!

How To Complete Up, Up, And Away After Emolga! in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Locate the Emolga

After talking with Urmand, you will have to find a specific Emolga. From the rooftop where you talked to the NPC, head backward and take the ladder. However, instead of going right, this time around, head left. Keep moving ahead, and you’ll find the Emolga in question at the end of the roof. Once you find it, you will need to chase the Pokemon through several adjacent build roofs.

Since the Emolga flies to the different roofs here, you will need to use the Roto Glide to cross over. Repeat this process three additional times, where each time you catch up to the Emolga and it flies away to a different roof. Finally, it will jump to a platform set much lower than the roofs. It might look scary at first, but you can safely use the Roto Glide to make this jump too. Finally, with nowhere left to run, the Emolga will now initiate a fight.

The Emolga here is at level 53, so you should be at the same or a higher level to complete the duel easily. Also, owing to its Flying type, the Pokemon is weak against Rock and Ice type moves. Make sure you use these Pokemon types to end the battle quickly. You can choose to capture the Emolga instead of just defeating it outright.

Up, Up, And Away After Emolga! Quest Rewards

Once you defeat or capture the wild Emolga here, you will end the quest and receive the following rewards:

  • 8x Kelpsy Berry
  • 8x Tamato Berry
  • 8x Pomeg Berry
  • 2000 Poke Dollars
