How To Complete A Vibrant Heart in Duet Night Abyss

Move through the main passage with the help of the quest marker. You will find several Filthoids blocking your path. Clear them before moving further. Head toward the Engine Room. You will face smaller enemy groups and a few environmental traps along the way.

Solve the Lift Puzzle

You will come across a lift terminal that needs to be decrypted. You have to connect the start and end points, but make sure to not cross them. A simple way to do this is to trace from the bottom left to the top right. Once done, you can control the cargo lift. Use the control panel to start the cargo lift. More Filthoids will appear before you can descend, so deal with them quickly.

Follow the glowing markings on the floor to reach deeper sections. Along the way, you will see Geniemon devices. Activate them since they help unlock new areas and scan surroundings.

Fight the Veloci Filthoid

A new type of Filthoid will attack you here. It is faster and more aggressive. During this fight, you can access the Blast ability. Watch for the moment when the Veloci stops between charges to land a powerful hit. After the battle, a short cutscene introduces Monica. Follow her to the Engine Room, where the Phoxynamo systems are malfunctioning.

You need to interact with the central control panel and shoot the small button with your ranged weapon. This removes the defense barrier and lets you enter the Phoxynamo area.

Shut Down the Active Phoxynamo Wheel

Follow your objective marker to the active Phoxynamo wheel and shut it down to stabilize the core. You will need to interact with three panels named A, B, and C, and there is an optional D if you want extra content.

Panel A: Southeastern section. Interact with the control device.
Panel B: Northern transformer area. Disable the power link.
Panel C: Eastern boiler room. Shoot the button to turn it off.
Panel D (Optional): Found near Wheel C, you can meet Vic here. If you can shut down all wheels before visiting, this event disappears.

Defeat enemies guarding each area. Once you handle panels A, B, and C, the quest will move forward. Go down the stairs or take the lift to reach the lower level where the backup wheels are located.

Activate Backup Phoxynamo Wheels

There are four backup wheels to activate for which you need to do the following:

Wait for Avar to finish unlocking controls. You will see a yellow timer on the top of the screen showing progress.
Defend Avar from incoming enemies. Focus on ranged attackers and avoid letting anyone reach them.
Once Avar finishes, shoot or interact with the wheel to activate it.

When the final wheel is active, alarms will go off. Follow the exit markers to escape before overload. Once you leave the area, the quest ends.
