Everything you need to know about Monster Hunter Stories 3 Premium Deluxe Edition, and whether it’s worth buying or not.
Monster Hunter Stories 3, much like most Capcom published title of late, is offered in a multitude of different editions. And similar to Monster Hunter Wilds, Stories 3 has a $100 edition of the game. Furthermore, it’s also the most expensive edition of MHS3, and features all DLCs that are available on release. Counting out the Collector’s Editions as well as various Limited Edition bundles (often with consoles), the Premium Deluxe Edition of MHS3 is the most expensive version of a Monster Hunter game, yet.
Considering the price, it’s only obvious that most players will be skeptical about picking up the Premium Deluxe Edition, even if they’re fans of the series. That said, is Monster Hunter Stories 3’s Premium Deluxe Edition even worth buying at launch?

Should You Buy Monster Hunter Stories 3 Premium Deluxe Edition?
Considering the price tag of $100, the Premium Deluxe Edition is a hard sell. However, taking into account how Capcom distributes DLCs post-launch, there’s no real reason to get the Premium Deluxe Edition of MHS3. Unless you’re a “mega-fan” of the series and are in a financial situation where you can easily afford the $100 version of the game without denting your wallet, it’s best to get the Standard Edition.
As for the DLCs, you can just buy them separately, at a later date, granted you end up enjoying the game in the first place. All the DLCs included in the Premium Deluxe Edition will be available to purchase separate, post-release. Furthermore, you can also buy the pre-order bonus outfit, as a DLC, after the release of MHS3.
As such, there’s really no incentive of getting the $100 version of the game. You aren’t missing out on anything by getting the Standard Edition. In fact, you’re saving a lot of money by sticking with the $70 version, and getting the DLCs at a later date.
