Where Winds Meet is an upcoming open-world RPG set in the final years of China’s Ten Kingdoms era. Developed by Everstone Studios, the game introduces players to the world of Wuxia-style martial arts for combat and exploration. Needless to say, this game is making waves in China and will soon make its global debut on November 14, 2025.

What Do You Need To Know About Where Winds Meet?
The Game’s Setting
Where Winds Meet takes you back to 10th-century China. It’s a time of turmoil following the great collapse of the Tang Dynasty during the final years of the Ten Kingdoms era. You take on the role of a warrior caught in the political and military struggles of the Five Dynasties.
The choices you make in the game can affect story progression. It will be up to you whether you prefer to seek power for yourself or become the protector of the oppressed. What you decide to do in the game will shape both your fate and the world around you.
Weapon Variants and Combat Styles
The game promises to offer a variety of playstyles. Each weapon type will have a unique dodge and parry system. This is good news for players looking to master multiple gameplay mechanics. On top of that, you can mix and match your loadouts and see what works best for you.
Some weapons include swords, dual blades, spears, rope darts, combat umbrellas, Mo Blades, bows, and a fan. Yes, a fan is a weapon in this game. It’s one of the most unique weapons, as it allows you to play as a healing support.
Unique Open-World Traversal
Where Winds Meet is not just about cinematic visuals and flexible combat mechanics. It also features a unique way to move around the map. Just like what you see in Chinese martial arts movies, the game features parkour mechanics that make exploring the world more exciting.
Some of the mechanics seen in the trailer include running on walls, moving on water, and using Mystic Arts that let you glide through the air. There might be more in store for players, and we’ll have to play the game to find out.
It’s Free-to-Play
You may think a game of this caliber would have a premium price. Fortunately, the game will release as a free-to-play title. This means you can play it without spending money. However, just like other free-to-play titles, it includes microtransactions. There is even a pre-registration event you can participate in to get some extra items once you start playing the game.
The game uses a premium currency called Echo Jades. You can purchase them with real money and use them to unlock various items in the in-game shop. The items in the shop are all optional and do not necessarily affect your progression.
Supported Platforms
For now, Where Winds Meet will release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game is set for release on November 14, 2025. However, keep in mind that the release times may vary depending on your region and time zone. As for consoles, it’s currently only available on PS5. The developers have yet to confirm if the game will arrive on other platforms like the Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch.
