A Chilling Challenge is one of the side missions where you have to defeat specific types of Pokemon. In this mission, it’s the Ice-type Pokemon. A Chilling Challenge only becomes available after progressing through the main storyline in the game. Moreover, these Pokemon are not in the wild but belong to a challenging trainer.

How To Complete a Chilling Challenge (Side Quest) in Pokemon Legends Z-A
You can unlock A Chillinge Challenge after completing Main Mission 35 in Pokemon Legends Z-A, called Reaching Rank A. This occurs once you are done exploring Lysandre Labs, which points you towards an NPC called Glace. Subsequently, you can talk to her in Wild Zone 12 to begin the side quest.
How To Defeat Glace in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Speaking with Glace will result in a Pokemon Battle with her. She will use her signature Ice-Type Pokemons against you, so make sure to prepare before interacting with her. Her first Pokemon will be Glalie, which uses Frost and Dark-type attacks against your Pokemons. This will be followed by Abomasnow, which adds Grass-type attacks into the mix. Lastly, she sends out Froslass that can use Ghost and Electric-type attacks along with Frost.

As mentioned earlier, try using Fire-type Pokemon, as their attacks are very effective against Glace’s Ice-type Pokemon. You will complete the side mission after defeating her in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
