Destroy the Rocketeer and collect the Rocketeer Driver to complete the Out of the Shadows quest in Arc Raiders.
Out of the Shadows is one of the trickier quests to complete in Arc Raiders. For this quest, you need to deliver an item back to Shani for it to finish. The difficulty lies in the process of obtaining said item, and that is by destroying the Rocketeer Arc. The quest can be completed in any of the available maps, as the Arc spawns in each.
In this article, we will look at how to complete the Out of the Shadows quest in Arc Raiders.
Out of the Shadows Quest Overview in Arc raiders
You will receive the ‘Out of the Shadows’ quest from the trader, Shani. For this quest, we will use the Control Tower A6 location in Spaceport as our hideout during the battle with the Rocketeer. You can refer to the map above to find the exact spot. There are two primary objectives for this quest, which are stated below.
- Destroy a Rocketeer
- Obtain a Rocketeer Driver
The list of items you will be granted for the mission is as follows.
- Medium Shield – x1
- Combat Mk. 2 – x1

How To Complete Out of the Shadows Quest
Rocketeers are one of the few Arcs that take to the sky to deal damage to you. While Wasps and Hornets are easier to take down due to their exposed thrusters, Rocketeers are fully armoured. You will need to deal a lot more damage to the Rocketeer’s thrusters in order to weaken it and finally take it down.
The best course of action is to focus all your firepower towards the front two thrusters. Most of the time, the Rocketeer will be facing you head-on, keeping those two thrusters in the line of sight. The next step is to ensure you take the fight to the Rocketeer away from its preferred ground.
Rocketeers thrive in open spaces, giving them more area to cover and less for you to hide. Instead, you should take cover inside a building with a door for quick access and an open window for you to unload attacks.
Lastly, consider taking on this quest when teaming up with a squad or trio. With teammates, you can all dish out attacks together, weakening the Rocketeer faster and sharing the completion of the quest as well.
Weapons To Carry
- Ferro (Lvl. 4) – x40 ammo
- Wolf Pack – x2
- Snap Blast Grenades – x2
Keep enough medical supplies handy in case you take damage. Rocketeers, as the name suggests, launch missiles at you, draining out your entire shield and close to 60% of your health with a single attack.
How To Destroy the Rocketeer
My simple trick for this quest is to simply take a hit and hide, or what I like to call ‘shoot and scoot’. Being exposed for even a few seconds is detrimental to the Rocketeer, as it will immediately launch an attack at you. Instead, you need to make sure to either quickly fire a shot or throw a grenade and quickly run inside to take cover. All you need to do is repeat this step till you eventually take the Arc down. Once you do, you can go and collect the Rocketeer Driver and complete the mission.
