Advanced Mechanical Components in Arc Raiders can be looted, crafted, or recycled, letting players manufacture powerful weapons.
Advanced Mechanical Components are a rare, refined material in Arc Raiders used to craft and upgrade high-tier weapons and attachments. They are primarily required as crafting materials for the Gunsmith Level 3 station in the Workshop.
With the Advanced Mechanical Components, you can craft powerful weapons like Tempest III, Bettina IV, Renegade III, Vulcano III, and Hullcracker III. This guide highlights the methods to find Advanced Mechanical Components efficiently and craft them.
Arc Raiders: Advanced Mechanical Components Farming Guide
There are three distinct methods to get Advanced Mechanical Components: looting, crafting, and recycling.

Looting Locations
Advanced Mechanical Components can be found in any location with the “Mechanical” symbol, which looks like a gear. Head to these areas and search through lockers, chests, and other containers.
Keep in mind that major loot zones with the Mechanical tag are among the most sought-after in a match. You can also find what you’re looking for in the buildings around the target areas, including any nearby Field Depots and Supply Crates.
At these locations, you’ll find plenty of Mechanical Components, if not their advanced versions. Collect them all, as they will be useful in the next process to obtain Advanced Mechanical Components.
Crafting Requirements
To craft Advanced Mechanical Components, you’ll need to upgrade the Refiner in your Workshop to level 2. Refer to our Workshop Stations guide to check all the resources you need for the upgrade.
Once you have a Refiner II, you can craft Advanced Mechanical Components using the following resources:
- 6x Mechanical Components
- 2x Steel Spring
If you haven’t managed to find many Mechanical Components during raids, you can craft them using 15x Metal Parts and 3x Steel Springs. Scrappy passively gathers Metal Parts and Rubber Parts, among other resources, so you should eventually get enough to craft Mechanical Components. You can also upgrade Scrappy using Dog Collar, Lemon, and Apricot, and the faithful rooster will bring home a greater haul of loot to the collection box.

Recycling Weapons
Recycling a weapon crafted using Advanced Mechanical Components will also yield the latter. However, this is inefficient and should only be used when you have multiple duplicates of a weapon or don’t plan to use it at all.
