These are the two main methods of healing in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment:

  • Use Special Rations.
  • Look for the glowing orbs in a Camp.

Special Rations are items that can be used to heal your characters on the go. You can access this item from your expansive inventory by holding the right button on the left Joy Con or on the D-Pad of the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller. Scroll through your gear and press A once to consume this item. It will automatically replenish and recover all your lost hearts.

The second method can be used whenever you enter a Camp. There will be an area with glowing orbs spinning around, and you can interact with this. It will play a quick animation, and a notification will pop up stating your character’s health has replenished. This will also refill all your Special Rations and recover most of your battery from using Zonai devices.

While the manual method could help pause the fight for a while and give your characters room to breathe and recover, there is a way for heals to take effect automatically. We recommend using the Auto-Use feature from the settings, especially on higher difficulties.
