Locate and deliver the three first-wave items scattered across the Scrap Yard to Tian Wen as part of the Broken Monument quest in Arc Raiders.
Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter where you take the fight to both Arcs and other raiders in a PvPvE setting. Arcs made their initial appearance during what was called the First Wave, when they were close to ending humanity. After a fierce battle, the humans reigned victorious, the events setting the foundation of the underground establishment that stands tall even today. In the Broken Monument quest, we will be scavenging through the scrapyard, looking for items with historic value, and making a tribute to the events of the First Wave.
In this article, we will look at how to complete the Broken Monument quest in Arc Raiders.
Broken Monument Overview in Arc Raiders
You will receive this quest from the trader, Tian Wen. Here is a list of objectives you will need to fulfil in order to complete the mission.
- Reach the Hallowed grounds by the scrapyard.
- Search for a compass near the broken-down vehicles.
- Search for the video tape near the cylindrical containers.
- Search for the old field rations in the Raider camp.
- Deliver the First Wave Tape to Tian Wen.
- Deliver First Wave Compass to Tian Wen.
- Deliver First Wave Rations to Tian Wen.

How To Complete Broken Monument Quest
For this quest, you will need to visit the Dam Battleground map in Arc Raiders. Now head over to the Scrap Yard location, which is to the north of the Formical Outpost. In this area, you will find a lot of broken-down vehicles, amidst which the three items are hidden.
Compass Location
In one section of the scrapyard, you will see three huge vehicles, one being a trailer boxed around each other, with a gap of space between them. Right in the middle will be the first item, which is the compass. You can approach this box and interact with it to obtain the item.
Videotape Location
The video tape is placed inside a box beside two long cylinders. You will find these by the end of the row of scrap cars. The cylinders will be hard to miss, considering how big they are, as well as being placed in the shape of a cross.
Old Field Rations Location
Lastly, the field rations will be inside an old Raiders camp. This resembles the field camps that you see around the map without an antenna. From the row of cars you find the video tape at, keep walking down the rocky road, and you will see the camp. Enter it, and to the side is a box you can investigate to obtain the item.

After completing the Broken Monument quest in Arc Raiders, you will receive the following rewards.
- Arpeggio I – x1
- Compensator II – x1
- Medium Ammo – x80
