Everything you need to know about Crimson Desert’s Deluxe Edition, including its contents and whether it’s worth buying or not.

Crimson Desert is the next major action RPG coming from the developers of Balck Desert Online, Pearl Abyss. However, unlike the studio’s previous game, Crimson Desert isn’t an MMORPG. Instead, it’s a traditional single-player RPG, with a greater focus on storytelling and exploration. That alone makes it one of the most intriguing releases of 2026.
Thankfully, players won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the game. Crimson Desert is scheduled to be released in March 2026. Furthermore, pre-orders for the game are already live on all platforms. And much like any other Triple-A release, Crimson Desert is offered in both Standard and Deluxe Editions.
However, is the Deluxe Edition for Pearl Abyss’ upcoming RPG worth buying? Or is it best to get the Standard Edition instead? Let’s find out in this article.
Should You Buy Or Pre-Order Crimson Desert’s Deluxe Edition?

Usually, it’s best to steer clear of Deluxe Editions of most games, simply due to the price differences. However, in the case of Crimson Desert, the Deluxe Edition is worth getting, simply due to its price difference and contents on offer. The Deluxe Edition is $10 more expensive than the Standard Edition. However, for the extra $10, you’re getting a bunch of in-game bonuses.
Firstly, with the Deluxe Edition, you’re getting the Esclaire armor set for your horse. Furthermore, the bundle also includes the Kairos Plate set for the game’s protagonist, Kliff. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition also includes the Balgran Shield. As such, there’s a ton of value that you can extract out of the extra $10.
That said, the Deluxe Edition is still a luxury and not a necessity. If you want to experience the base game, the Standard Edition will more than suffice. However, if you have $10 to spare, the Deluxe Edition isn’t a bad deal.
