REPO: How To Deal With Loom

Here is everything you need to know about how you can deal with Loom in REPO, including her attack patterns and how to counter.

Loom is one of the new enemies added to the REPO Monster update. She is a ghost that can track targets and chase after them. The monster features a horrifying grin, bulging eyes, and long, stretched-out arms. Needless to say, you don’t want to be near this monster or be the target.

Knowing how to deal with Loom in REPO is necessary due to her gameplay mechanics of locking onto targets. This guide will help you understand how she works and how you can counter her.

Behavior and Attack Patterns of Loom in REPO

Loom approaches her targets one at a time. Whenever you provoke her, she locks onto you, and she will always know where you are on the map. This means there is no point in hiding when she is already chasing after you. You might as well try and outpace her or force her to switch targets. There will be an indicator if she is onto you. You will see translucent hands on your screen as she approaches you.

Fortunately, Loom does move slowly. This gives you a lot of time to run around and keep your distance. Alternatively, you can force her to switch targets. This can happen when she attacks by clapping her hands together, with you caught in between. After her attack, she proceeds to lock onto another target. The switch happens regardless of the attack being successful or not. This means you should save up your stamina for this moment. 

How To Counter Loom in REPO

Loom will have a slightly different mechanic when playing alone or in co-op with friends. If you are alone, she will only lock in to you. However, if she fails to catch you with her clap five times, she will leave you alone and move as far as she can on the map. If you are playing with friends, she can switch targets as mentioned above. This way, you and your friends can take turns provoking her, giving others time to do their tasks.

Heading to higher ground is also a good option. Loom’s clap attack has a maximum range. This means climbing up areas she can’t reach will prevent her from attacking you. On the other hand, you can always resort to shooting this ghost. You can use various weapons, like the Shotgun or Handgun, to take her out.

Alternatively, use a Tranq Gun or a Baseball Bat to stun her and give you and your friends more time to collect your thoughts. This monster can detect you if you are nearby. Make sure to avoid using Tumble or just approaching her in general.
