The A Fateful Swing of a Metronome side quest teaches you all about the move Metronome in Pokemon Legends Z-A. This is where you have to fight and defeat Pokemon that use this move. The Metronome move causes a Pokemon to use a completely random attack. It will allow trainers to use moves that might not be in their Pokemon’s arsenal.
This side mission is unlocked after completing Main Mission 26, An Invitation from the SBC. Moreover, since you face off against Fairy-type Pokemon, use Poison or Steel-type moves, as they are very effective against them. How To Complete A Fateful Swing of a Metronome in Pokemon Legends Z-A
As mentioned earlier, unlock A Fateful Swing of a Metronome in Pokemon Legends Z-A by completing Main Mission 26. You have to do this by defeating Asami in a Pokemon battle. Finally, after her defeat, this side mission becomes available in Cafe Kizuna of the Jaune District. Once you reach Cafe Kizuna, talk to an NPC named Furiko to start the side mission. She will challenge you to a Pokemon battle, and to complete the mission, you have to defeat her.
How To Defeat Furiko in Pokemon Legends Z-A
To defeat Furiko, you first go up against her Fairy-type Pokemon, namely two level 51 Clafairies and one level 52 Clefable. We recommend using their direct weakness, like Poison or a Steel-type Pokemon. This will make this fight fairly easy to pull off. Finally, you can also make use of Pokemon that use Poison-type moves, which also work well for this side mission.
Furiko’s Pokemon will use Metronome, which will allow them to use any random move. Be wary of this attack, as it can deal really high damage or disrupt your Pokemon’s moves in multiple ways. Lastly, try to finish off Furiko’s Pokemon before they get a chance to use this move.
