Learn how to complete Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment with clear steps, tips, and rewards.

You will reach Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment after finishing the second main mission The Art of the Blade. It takes place in the Faron Grasslands Depths and brings you face to face with ancient Zonai technology hidden below Hyrule. This is your first big chance to explore the underground world and learn how Zonai devices really work in battle.
Here, Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and Mineru travel together after Rauru grows worried about his sister and Zelda. They descend into the Depths to uncover the source of sacred power once used by the ancient Zonai.
How To Complete Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment
Here is a step-by-step structure that will help you to learn both combat and Zonai mechanics naturally in the Where Ancient Wisdom Sleeps quest.
Enter the Depths
You begin at Tobios Hollow in the Faron Region. Descend into the Depths using a hot air balloon along with Zelda, Rauru, and Mineru. Follow the path until you reach Minerus Workshop, which is full of relics and research materials. There, you get your first Zonai device, the Flame Emitter, along with a few batteries. You can assign it in the Special Actions menu and use it to test your aim.
You will face a few Little Froxes roaming around. Use the Flame Emitter to burn through them and get used to managing battery energy. After that, climb to the next platform where Captain Construct I waits. This enemy charges often, so use Zelda’s Piercing Light skill to reveal its weak-point gauge and strike fast.
Once you defeat Captain Construct I, you can switch to Mineru. Her playstyle focuses on mechanical strength rather than crowd clearing. Use her for direct fights and rely on Rauru for groups of enemies. Later, you will earn another Zonai device, the Time Bomb. It will be helpful in tougher battles.
Boss Battle: Frox

Approach the massive stone door to trigger a battle with the Frox. When the boss inhales, throw a Time Bomb into its mouth to make it vulnerable. You can jump on its back and hit the ore deposits for heavy damage.
Head northwest to uncover the rest of the stage and face the Stone Talus. It has a tough weak-point gauge, so use Time Bombs from all three characters to break it faster. Target the darker rock on its shoulder, as it is its weak spot. When it collapses, climb up and attack with melee weapons for bonus damage.
Move forward and defeat Captain Construct III to open a new area. Interact with the emblem in the middle of the platform. You have to activate two more emblems placed on the sides of the ruins. Use the Allies menu to command your companions to travel to these points while you handle enemies elsewhere. Once they arrive, switch to them to complete the task.
Final Boss: Flux Construct I
After unlocking all emblems, move to the final door to face Flux Construct I.
Phase 1: Tower Form: It starts as a tall tower before forming into a walking robot. Target the glowing block at its core. You can use aerial attacks or Time Bombs to hit the weak point when it floats.
Phase 2: Rolling Block Form: The boss transforms into a rolling cube. Wait for it to land, then counter with a charge attack. Bomb arrows or Time Bombs can also reach the weak spot safely. Once you break its structure, focus on the glowing block again until it falls apart.
After defeating Flux Construct I, the mission ends.
