Wondering how to spawn and acquire the Leviathan in Fisch as part of its Cultist Lair update? This guide explores the complete process.
The Cultist Lair update has introduced the Profane Leviathan and the Leviathan in Fisch. If you’re looking to grab these ultra rare catches, you’ll need to head to Terrapin Island and find the entrance to the Cultist Lair. Once you manage to enter the lair, you will need to perform a series of quests to progress through this multi-leveled location. In the final room of the Cultist Lair, you’ll find a water body where the Leviathan spawns. However, there’s a special procedure you need to follow to make it appear. This guide will help you complete this procedure, so that you can catch the Leviathan.
How To Get To the Room Where the Leviathan in Fisch Spawns
After reaching the Cultist Lair, the first order of business is to complete all of the NPC quests that you find. There are several of these. Once you complete a few and acquire some necessary items, you can then use those items to unlock the first locked door, or Cultist Lair Door 1. Progressing further will enable you to take on more quests. You’ll need to gather further items, which will get you through Cultist Lair Door 2. Finally, you’ll reach the Amulet NPC standing just outside another barred door.
If you’ve managed to complete all of the quests until now, you should have five of the Dreamer’s Amulet Fragments. You get these as reward for completing certain quests within the Cultist Lair. With all fragments at hand, speak with the Amulet NPC to craft the Dreamer’s Amulet. This item will get you through the last barred door and into the room where the Leviathan spawns.
How To Force the Leviathan in Fisch To Appear
Inside this final room, you’ll find five different pedestals. You have to fill each of these with specific fish that all have the Cathulid mutation. The following is a list of the fish you need and how you can grab each one.
Rainbow Cluster Cathulid
While the rainbow event is active, you’ll need to acquire the Rainbow Cluster Rod, if you don’t have it in your inventory already. Without the event, you won’t be able to get this particular rod type. Once you have the Rainbow Cluster Rod, you can use that to nab a Rainbow Cluster Cathulid.
Aurora Cathulid
Fish for this in the Passage of Oaths or Hall of Whisper rooms in the Cultist Lair with either the Aurora Rod if you have it, or the Aurora Bait if you’re trying to catch it with a random rod. Using either of these two will give you around a 15% chance of receiving the fish. If you want a greater chance, make sure you use both the Aurora Rod and the Aurora Bait, which pushes the drop chance to approximately 30%.
Purified Cathulid
To grab this particular fish, you’ll need to arm your rod or your bait with the Insight Enchantment. After that, use the Insight mechanic while fishing to nab the specific fish.
Solar Blaze Cathulid
Use the Fang of the Eclipse rod during an Eclipse event to catch this fish. This one doesn’t spawn outside of this specific event. If you don’t use the Fang of the Eclipse, your chances of grabbing the fish can be as low as around 10%. On the other hand, when using Fang, the drop rate can go up to approximately 90%.
Nova Cathulid
This one is connected to the Starlight Bay location and Starfall events. You should use a rod or bait that enhances the spawn of Starfall or Stellar mutated fish to improve your chances of getting this one.
Once you’ve deposited all five of these Cathulid catches into the podiums, the Leviathan will spawn and you capture it.
