Get your Nichirin Katana in New Moon! Follow our guide to find materials and level up for this Demon Slayer weapon.
The Nichirin Katan in New Moon is a weapon that the Slayer Class players can get. These are special swords used by Demon Slayers in the popular franchise of the same name that the Roblox game is inspired by. Crafting the weapon requires you to level up and mine some ores from around the map to craft. In this article, we will explain how you can acquire the materials to get the Nichirin katana in New Moon.

New Moon: Obtaining the Nichrin Katana as a Slayer
How To Get Nichirin Katana
You can get the Nichirin Katana by talking to the Wandering Swordsmith NPC. The NPC will ask you to bring a few ores that you can mine with a Picaxe. You also need to be at least a certain Trsuchinoto rank in the Slayer progression.
Here is a full list of the requirements to get the Nichirin Katana:
- Be at least Tsuchinoto Slayer Rank.
- Have 10 Scarlet Crimson Ores
- Have 5 Scarlet Crimson Sand
Picaxe and Ore Locations
To start mining for ores, you will first need to collect the Picaxe from the map. New Moon does not have a map, but pressing P highlights all points of interest. To get the pickaxe:
- Press P to bring up all points of interest on the map.
- Locate the Picaxe point and go to it.
- Press E to interact with it and pick it up.
- This will allow you to start mining for the required ores.
You can find the Scarlet Ore beside a waterfall, as shown in the photo above. Follow these instructions to reach the location:
- After you collect the pickaxe, press P and start walking back to the Slayer Recruiter.
- After going down the initial hills, you will come across a river with a fallen tree.
- Go across the tree, and you will find Scarlet Crimson Ore beside the waterfall area.
- Climb up the stone wall to the right, and you will find more Scarlet Crimson Ore deposits.
- You can stop after collecting 10.
This is the second ore you need to mine to get the Nichirin Katana. To get to the location:
- Press P and locate the Water Breathing Trainer and start running towards the marker.
- On the way, you will find a pond with several Sacrlet Crimson Sand deposits.
- Mine five and then go back to the Wandering Swordsman NPC to craft the special sword.
Slayer Rank Progression
Bringing the NPC all the ores is not enough, as you also need to be high enough Slayer rank to get the Nichirin Katana. During the playtest, it was a bit confusing because the quest chain did not specify other requirements. Now we know that you have to be at least be Tsuchinoto rank to get the katana.
Tsuchinoto is the fifth rank in Slayer Progression, two ranks higher than Kanoto. Meaning, you need to complete the Final Selection and get to Kanoe rank first. After that, start grinding missions and PvP battles in Tsuchinoto. Only then will the Wandering Swordsman give you the Nichirin Katana.
