Following the events of Fire and Sand in Chapter 4, Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment’s Into the Fray battle kicks off Chapter 5 guns blazing. The monster hordes may have been weakened, but the Demon King’s army is yet to be repelled. Hyrule is yet to be reclaimed.

In the Into the Fray chapter, we see Rauru unite Hyrule to mount a resistance against the Demon King. Rauru and co will lead an ark to Hyrule Castle, and your goal is to defend the ark in a flight battle. This battle is one of the most exciting sequences in the game, despite its short length. If it’s giving you any trouble, we’re here to walk you through it.

As soon as the cutscene ends, you’ll find yourself in the airspace near Hyrule Castle. You’ll be facing a ton of enemies in the air, but you’re well-equipped with Zonai devices to deal with whatever Ganondorf throws at you.

Fly through the air, slicing through all the enemies in your path. The Emitters are a great way to deal with the large mobs that will meet you in mid-air. Do not let the enemies make you lose sight of your path, however. As you fly across, keep your eyes peeled for the yellow rings. Passing through these yellow rings will grant you Korok seeds.

Right after you pass through the yellow rings, the game will then shift into a top-down perspective. This is where things get a little challenging. Enemies will come at you from all four corners. If you stick to the center, you’re fresh meat. We suggest quickly clearing out one of the corners, and then rushing to the cleared corner and holding ground there to clear out the rest.

Stay on the move at all times to avoid being overwhelmed by the mobs. Make sure you’re using all your Zonai devices to clear the screen. After a minute or so of surviving this onslaught, the screen will go back to normal, and King Gleeok will fly across the screen.
