Chronicle Mode in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road is set in a distant future where the Mind Eater, a powerful being, threatens humanity. You will play as Victorio Cryptix, a young agent who sets out to gather the strongest football players ever. Using the Inazuma Victory Caravan, you can travel across time to recruit heroes from different eras and form the ultimate team capable of saving the world.

The mode also features its own theme song, “Dai-Dan-En” by T-Pistonz, and unique animated cutscenes that give the story a complete standalone feel.

Chronicle Mode in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road Overview

Content Volume

Chronicle Mode is built for long play sessions. It includes hundreds of events, dozens of routes, and thousands of recruitable players. Even if you focus only on the main battles, you can expect 50 to 60 hours of playtime, while full completion can easily exceed 100 hours.

Chronicle Mode has more than 150 playable teams, over 5,400 recruitable characters, and nearly 300 unique battles spread across the map. Each battle type serves a specific purpose, and many of them feature escalating difficulty levels.

You can replay matches to farm resources, collect uniforms, and improve stats. The grid map itself is divided into three major eras: the Original series, the GO series, and the Ares/Orion timeline. Each offers several story routes to clear.

Massive Character Roster

You will get access to a huge collection of 5,400 characters covering every era of Inazuma Eleven. That includes all major heroes, rivals, and side characters from eight anime seasons and every game entry.

Map Structure and Progression

The map follows a grid layout that covers the entire Inazuma Eleven timeline. Each section is color-coded to represent different story arcs. You unlock new areas through the History Check system, where you have to complete certain matches or meet special conditions to reveal new routes.

Battle Types and Difficulties

Chronicle Mode features four main types of battles:

  1. Chronicle Battles – Replay the original matches using their historical teams.
  2. Route Unlock Battles – Open new paths on the grid map by defeating key opponents.
  3. Rare Drop Battles – Harder matches that drop exclusive rewards such as team kits and rare spirits.
  4. Hero Battles – Level 50 plus enemies with the best experience and material drops.

You do not need to finish Story Mode to access it. You can jump into it straight from the main menu and start building your team right away. The story follows Victorio Cryptix’s time travel mission, which is completely separate from the main storyline, so you do not have to worry about spoilers or locked chapters.

Recruitment also works in a new way. Instead of scouting or completing missions to get players, you earn Bond Stars by playing online matches. You then use those Bond Stars in the Player Universe system to summon new players as Spirits. It feels more like collecting and upgrading, giving you more control over how your roster grows.

Once you have cleared parts of the main campaign, you can even bring your Story Mode characters into Chronicle Mode. Chronicle Mode keeps its own save and progress, which means your choices and battles here will not affect your Story Mode data.
