Where Winds Meet looks exceptionally good on modern GPUs such as the RTX 40 Series. The game is built on the Messiah Engine and can be pretty demanding on entry-level cards like the RTX 4060 when using overly ambitious settings.
Ray tracing looks impressive here, but the performance trade-off isn’t worth it on mid-range RTX 40 Series GPUs. There is also a noticeable shimmering issue that continually affects the game’s visual clarity.
The settings below improve the game’s visuals and help reduce shimmering so that you can enjoy a smoother, cleaner image.
Note: The game is quite CPU-heavy, and we recommend pairing a Ryzen 5 7500F with an entry-level RTX 40 Series card to avoid bottlenecks. The higher the CPU performance, the better the frame pacing will be.

Where Winds Meet – Best Settings for RTX 4060 Through RTX 4060 Ti
For the RTX 4060 and up through the RTX 4060 Ti, we recommend playing at 1080p. 1440p is achievable; you can try it on the 4060 Ti and see how things fare.
Higher resolution can look good, depending on your monitor, but it is highly situational. There’s also a chance the shimmering within foliage may not be noticeable at 1440p, especially on a good screen. Since we are not opting for upscaling and relying on DLAA for the best image quality and reduced shimmer, the settings below are on the conservative side.
