If you will hover over the Dragon Key item in-game, you will find all the ways to obtain it. The item description page will hold three primary methods of acquiring this item. These are:

  • Obtained through Outposts: While exploring the world of Where Winds Meet, you will stumble upon certain structures called Outposts. You can enter and clear these outposts to get a Dragon Key.
    • You can only get a Dragon Key for the first time upon clearing an Outpost. Although you can repeat the Outposts multiple times, the Dragon Key will only be obtained once.
  • Quest “Skill Theft – Rightful Acquisition”: Completing this particular Skill Theft quest can net you another Dragon Key.
  • Breakthrough Rewards – Level 2 – Emerging: Your character is initially capped to a maximum level of 15. You will eventually have to attempt a Breakthrough challenge to increase this cap to 20. Completing this challenge will also get you a Dragon Key.

These Loong or Dragon keys are extremely important, as they unlocked various locations for you.
