A whole lot of new pets are now in Grow a Garden with the Smithing Event update on November 15, 2025. The event brings back digging and crafting, allowing players to get rewards such as pets, seeds, gear, and cosmetics.

All Smithing Event Pets and Their Traits
12 new pets have been added to Grow a Garden with the Smithing Event update. Each one of them has a unique pet trait, giving boosts to your garden. Check out the table below to learn about all of them.

| Termite | Common | Reduces a random pet’s level by 1. It is currently the worst pet trait in the game. |
| Topaz Snail | Rare | Every time you trigger a Lucky Harvest, you stand a chance to gain a Cleansing Pet Shard. |
| Smithing Dog | Rare | Occasionally digs up Coal from the ground. |
| Geode Turtle | Rare | Converts Advanced Sprinklers to Geode Sprinklers. |
| Amethyst Beetle | Legendary | Battles other players’ beetles at regular intervals. The winning player gets a random reward. |
| Cheetah | Legendary | Turns you into a Cheetah when its ability triggers. During this time, any fruit you harvest has a chance to get the Wildfast mutation. |
| Emerald Snake | Legendary | Transforms fruits in your garden into Gem-themed cosmetics. |
| Trapdoor Spider | Legendary | Will occasionally consume a random fruit in your garden. During the process, nearby crops may get the Webbed mutation. |
| Sapphire Macaw | Mythical | Applies Crystalized mutation to random fruits. |
| Goblin Miner | Mythical | Can grant you an extra dig every 5 minutes. |
| Diamond Panther | Divine | Harvesting a fruit with more than 11 mutations can add one year to the age of a random pet. |
| Ruby Squid | Divine | Mimics the passive ability of another pet all the time. |
How To Get Smithing Event Pets
There are three major ways you get the dozen new pets in the Grow a Garden Smithing Update: the Gem Egg, a reward from the digging event, and by crafting using the Pet Crafting Table in the event area at the center of the map. Below is a table explaining how to get each of the new pets.

| Amethyst Beetle | 31.84% hatch chance from the Gem Egg |
| Cheetah | Requires 40 minutes of crafting using the following ingredients: 1 Orange Tabby pet, 2 Legendary Coals, 8.5 Million Sheckles |
| Emerald Snake | 13.93% hatch chance from the Gem Egg. |
| Trapdoor Spider | 2.17% drop chance during Digging |
| Sapphire Macaw | 8.46% hatch chance from the Gem Egg. |
| Goblin Miner | 0.54% drop chance during Digging |
| Diamond Panther | 0.5% hatch chance from the Gem Egg. |
